Since we have chose to do the genre 'comedy' i have decided look at further details on Comedy title sequences. The film i have chosen to look at is 'Enchanted', the reason why i chose this is because it is a animated and real life based movied mixed together and thought that it can relate to the project that we are doing.
Enchanted:
It begins with a non-diagetic sound
Starting Visuals- 'Walt Disney Pictures Presents'
The opeing title starts of with a animated book with the title 'Enchanted on it.
Happy, cheery light music playing in the background,
Colourful, eye-catching
The book opens up with a 3D pop up of a castle and narrator saying' Once upon a time...'
Narrator telling a short stroy on what the movie is going to be about.
It gives an audience on how they can expect the film to be a traditional fantasy film.
Charlie and the Chocolate Factory
Non-Diagetic sound plays staright away
Visuals- Characters name appearing on the middle of the screen
The process of the chococlate being made (animated) in a chocolate factory,
Chocolate labelled 'Wonka Golgen Ticket'
Loud upbeat music, fast paced.
Near to the end of the opening title, directors and producers name on screen.
As soon as the film starts, Narratoe starts to talk about the beginning of the film.
Lasts approximately about 2 minutes.

Research into Opening Sequence Designs
Kyle Cooper Interview:
Kyle Cooper Interview (Part 1)
Kyle Cooper Interview (Part 2)
His interviews suggests that when watching the title sequence 'You forget about everything else and you don't want to be anywhere else', drawn to the screen, making you excited and expecting what will happen to the movie when getting a first introduction to the film.
Kyle Cooper has done over hundred film title sequences, among on of the memorable ones were:
-Dawn of the Dead
-SpiderMan
-SuperMan Returns
The music must be catchy and relate to the genre of the film so the audience will know what to expect. It is also important that the typography and the font has to relate to the plot.
He also mentions that looking at the title sequences can help the movie and can tell the back story and can put you where you need to be in ahead of the film.
Overall Kyle Cooper had given me some clear information abou the title sequence and to produce such title that will bring audiences eyes to the title sequence. so we need to make sure that the visuals and sound related to the plot to make the atmosphere more realistic and feel that you're a part of the opening title sequence.

Main Post 2- Choosing Genre
After doing some secondary research i found that from 1995-2010 the genre Comedy grossed in the most money out of the other following genres.
.png)
Here is the questionnaire which we produced as a group:
QUESTIONNAIRE
1) What age range are you in?
12 years or younger 13-25 26-50 51 or older
2) Are you male or female?
3) Which film genre do you watch most frequently?
4) Why do you like this genre so much?
5) How often do you go to the cinema?
1-2 times a month 3-4 times a month 5+ times a month
6) When you go to the cinema, who do you usually go with?
Friends (Same age) Friends (Older) Friends (Younger) Family(Younger) Family(Older)
7) What would you expect to see in the first 2 minutes of the film?
8) What genre of film would you like to see more of?
After we had gathered all our questionnaire results, we found that most people chose the genre 'Comedy' as they found it more excting and enjoyable to watch. we also saw that most people go to the cinema atleast once or twice a week and for that reason we chose to do Comedy for a our project.

The conventions of the 'Se7ven' (Genre:Horror) opening sequence
The soundrack of this opening sequence seems to sound mysterious and horror themed such as screechy noises and loud base sound playing in the background, the visuals seems to be flashy, jumpy, and intense, most of the flashy images in this title sequnce is close up. As you can see it is very dark and scary so that the audience can get the first impression of the film being a horror like. The font of the film when the characters names pop up seems to be very flashy and handwritten.
Film: Se7en
Genre: Horror
The conventions of the 'Spider-Man' (Genre:Action) opening sequence:
The soundtrack of this opening sequence seems to be upbeat and tense which draws you staright to the film, the visuals are very effective as the images matched the title becasue all throughout the opening it had a spider web to represent the film, when each characters/directors name came up there's always a background picture of a spiderweb. It is quite dark, the font seems to be type written, white and flashy. seems like thunder and blue skies in the beginning.
The ending of this opening scene is very effective becasue the animated spiderweb transforms into a real spiderweb, in the corner of the building, and from there the movie strats of in a street.
Genre:Action, Adventure, Fantasy
Film: Spider-Man
Post 12- Independent Work Towards Targets
I researched and found how to improve our script writing and help guide us through for our next script writing:

Post 11- Targets
Targets
The targets that I feel that I could have improved are as follows:
When the Shot Reverse Shot was taking place, I feel that we need to make sure that the characters face is shown when ELLY is talking so that it looks more proffessional.
Getting the whole group to get involved evenly so that not all pressure is fallen in to one member of group and the communication between the group definitley needs to be improved so time is not wasted on who is doing what.
I feel that if we had sound and music in the footage, the video would of looked much more better and proffessional.
In the beginning of the video there was quite a lot of headroom so for our next task we need to consider how much headroom we actually need.
The script was very short as the video was only a minute long so for our next task we need to make sure that our script is more longer and effective.

Post 10- Evaluation
While watching this video we can see that ELLY's back is towards the camera when she is talking for atleast 20 seconds, our 'shot reverse shot' was quite poor in this one as we didn't pay attention to the characters face when Elly was talking so it is important to see the characters face, especially when they are talking. Also the video as a whole wasn't very long as i expected it to be. to do this we could have made the script more longer, as we can see that the dialogues being exchange through both of the charcters were quite short.
We also could of added some sound to the video as it would make it more realistic knowing that they do it in the actual X Factor auditions. if we had a happy cheezy music at the end of this video, the audience can realise that ELLY got through to the next stage, not only that it makes the atmosphere brighten up more.
Taken as a whole, we have learnt new things, and making those basic errors will help us to improve for next time but i thought the Audition Preliminary task was successful considering it was our first filming task.
